Course description

The Salter’s Advanced Chemistry Course teaches chemical principles in the context of modern applications of chemistry in industry, in everyday life and in the environment. There are a series of course units and a practical investigation in each year. AS

GCSE Grade B in English Language and preferably Maths/Humanities

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an advanced GCE in Law, which could lead onto higher education in areas of law, business studies, politics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to law such as a Lawyer, Solicitor or Barrister. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification, which will help you develop the basic skills, understanding and knowledge that many other employers across lots of industries are looking for.
