Course description

The Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership is for candidates 18+ working in the hospitality sector, with responsibility for leading a team of staff. You'll broaden your existing knowledge and gain important leadership and management skills.The programme consists of a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership, a Technical Certificate and functional skills. This is delivered predominantly in the workplace, with some study days at Trafford College.The certificate requires 56 credits, taken from units covering leadership, working relationships, customer service, control of resources and supervision of an operational area e.g. kitchen or reception supervision.What awards will I achieve?Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision and LeadershipNVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and LeadershipAward in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles.You will also complete:Level 2 functional skills in mathematicsLevel 2 functional skills in English

Entry requirements

GCSE Grade D or above in maths and English; and successful interview

Assessment

Assessment is continuous, with candidates undertaking practical work and producing written evidence to meet the requirements of the Certificate. Candidates will produce a portfolio which will be internally and externally verified.Examining/Validating Body - City and Guilds

Candidates will need to meet the costs of providing files and plastic wallets and are strongly recommended to purchase the NVQ Level 3 Hospitality Supervision & Leadership handbook.
