Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business & Administration

At 3aaa, we are the outstanding provider of Apprenticeships in England, specialising in the delivery of Business Administration Apprenticeships.

The 3aaa Business Administration Apprenticeship is designed to give you the skills that meet the needs of this growing and demanding sector as well as the skills required by your employer.

As a business administrator, you will go onto to play a pivotal part in your organisation and our team will ensure that we prepare you with the skills to succeed in this vital sector.

Course content

Training will be delivered at your local Academy and in your workplace. In the first month you will attend the Academy twice a week for an 8 day intensive bookkeeping study programme. You will then be expected to attend the training Academy on day release every month for the first 10 months of the Apprenticeship. Attendance is full time in the Academy and in your workplace.

During the Level 3 programme you will complete mandatory units in:

  • Principles of business
  • Principles of administration
  • Principles of business communication and information
  • How to communicate in a business environment
  • Customer service skills such as supporting with reception duties
  • How to manage personal and professional development
  • How to communicate in a business environment
  • Customer service skills such as supporting with reception duties
  • How to manage personal and professional development

You will then choose from a range of more specialised business administrative and sector contextualised units that align to the duties of your role including: 

  • How to contribute to the involvement of business performance
  • How to deliver a presentation
  • How to manage an office facility
  • How to monitor information systems
  • How to participate in a project effectively
  • How to manage individuals’ development within the workplace
  • Principles of leadership and management
  • How to chair and lead meetings

Entry requirements

  • To be aged 16 – 23 years old
  • Ideally have 5 GCSEs Grade C and above
  • Preferably English, Maths and ICT GCSE
  • Minimum of Grade C or equivalent
  • 3 Years EU residency

Assessment

You will work towards:

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business & Administration
  • Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT (where applicable)

Financial information

Minimum Apprentice Wage: £3.30 per hour
