Course description

This course will give you a good and practical introduction to working in business whether retail, banking, insurance or accounting. During the course, you will work individually and in small groups developing the skills you need to work in business.

In addition you will study GCSE Mathematics and English Language to gain that all important grade C/4.

Course content

This course will give you a good and practical introduction to working in business whether retail, banking, insurance or accounting. During the course, you will work individually and in small groups developing the skills you need to work in business. In addition you will study GCSE Mathematics and English Language to gain that all important grade C/4. You will also study the Certificate in Financial Education which provides a comprehensive introduction to personal finance.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grades A*-D/9-3, including English Language and Mathematics.

A satisfactory reference and attendance of at least 95% from your last school or college are required.

Future opportunities

The course provides progression routes into work or further study at Level 3.

The course will also develop your skills to seek employment in a wide range of business sectors.
