You'll love: the summer vacation or optional sandwich year which will provide opportunities to gain and broaden practical experiences either at home or abroad.

You'll go onto: employment in agriculture or a related industry with future prospects for management or progression to university study such as our Foundation Degree in Agriculture.

Course content

During the first year you will study the theory, science and permitted practical skills associated with farm mechanisation and livestock as well as areas of farm diversification. These will be enhanced and further developed in the second year by study of those practical skills and aspects of farm management which are of importance when either working in the industry or studying on a higher level course.
Although both years will incorporate the teaching of relevant practical skills, the summer vacation or optional sandwich year will provide opportunities to gain and broaden practical experiences either at home or abroad.
