Customer Service Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship at Hertford Regional College
This Apprenticeship teaches you the skills to provide excellent customer service, and can be applied across a wide variety of job roles in many industry sectors. Good customer service is the key to success of any business or organisation.
As a Customer Service Apprentice, you tend to be front facing for the business dealing with customers face to face or electronically. Duties will vary between sectors, but in most cases you will be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way - whether that is by offering advice, answering questions or handling problems or going the extra mile the customer experience can be vital to business.
Following an initial assessment of current skills and induction, the Apprenticeship will include a QCF competency based qualification (NVQ), a knowledge based element or technical certificate, Functional Skills if required, Employee Rights & Responsibilities and Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.
There will be a flexible approach to learning, which may include a day release and assessments at college, however, full recognition will be given to relevant prior learning and experience. In the workplace, the apprentice will be allocated a coach or mentor to help develop you through your programme and the NVQ element will be assessed in the workplace through your daily work role.
A contract of employment for a minimum of 30 hours per week - to include time at college - for the duration of the Apprenticeship and be paid at least the Apprenticeship national minimum wage. Additional requirements to be discussed.
To properly assist customers you will need to be able to communicate with all sorts of people.
Completing this Apprenticeship is a way of providing evidence of skills that will serve you well in virtually any industry - so it is a very good way to move forward, even if you are still undecided about your future career.
