Motor Vehicle Studies Level 1 IMI Diploma at Berkshire College of Agriculture

Course description

This course provides an introduction to the Motor Vehicle industry and prepares learners to move on to a Level 2 IMI qualification. As well as practical sessions in the Motor Vehicle workshop, the course includes Functional Skills in English and maths and also one weeks’ work experience.

Entry requirements

A good interest in light motor vehicle. No formal qualifications are required, but a good pass grade on the BCA motor vehicle initial assessment is required.

L2 IMI Certificate or Diploma in Motor Vehicle.

Further information

All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.
