Art at Kettering Buccleuch Academy

Course content

Your GCSE Art course is made up of three parts: 2 coursework projects and work journals.  1 exam finished piece and work journal. Within the course you will get to explore all aspects of Art in much greater depth than you did during KS3. We encourage all students to look at every way possible in creating imagery, whether that’s drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, photography or computer generated imagery you will get the support you’ll need to reach the grades YOU really want!

Assessment

2 coursework projects and work journals (60% of your final mark) and 1 exam finished piece and work journal (40% of your final mark)

Hard work and individuality really are the keys within this course. You’ll need a good dose of each to become successful and the Art Department love those students who show both right from the start.
