Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 at Warwickshire College Group

Course description

 You will be working at your place of employment and you will be required to attend College for day release.

 The Apprenticeship will cover:

  • Health and safety
  • Engineering principles
  • Principles of engineering manufacture
  • Mainenance of machine systems
  • CNC machining of materials
  • Computer Aided design
  • You will also be covering your NVQ in the field of Engineering in which you work

Entry requirements

You need to be aged between 16 and 24 and currently employed in engineering. You will need to have GCSEs grade C or above in Maths and English or gained the Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship, or similar relevant qualification.


You will be assessed on your practical competence through regular visits at your place of work and assessments by your appointed Instructor/Assessor. You will also be assessed by carrying out assignments that will be marked, and external exams which will fulfil the requirement of the Technical Certificate.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course you may then be given the opportunity to progress to HNC/D or a Degree in Engineering.
