IT Users City & Guilds Diploma Level 2 at Colchester Institute

Course description

The IT Users Level 2 programme combines a broad range of IT skills and office software usage designed to help you develop your existing knowledge for the IT sector. It will give you the opportunity to progress onto a higher level course or potential employment in both the public and private sector. It can prepare you for most types of office work in both the public and private sector.

The course will help build confidence to work effectively with IT in the workplace. You will also engage in GEM and GAP activities to develop your English, maths and employability skills.

  • Personal Information Management Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Audio Software
  • Database Software
  • Desktop Publishing Software
  • IT Security for Users
  • Presentation Software
  • Word Processing Software

Entry requirements

Normally 4 GCSEs (grades A*-E), including English and maths, or satisfactory results in a relevant Level 1 qualification, and an interview.

Future opportunities

This programme will prepare students to work in a wide range of IT User environments.

Students may enter employment or progress to a higher level qualification.
