Travel & Tourism Level 3 Extended Diploma at Walsall College

Course description

The ideal course for those keen to work within the Travel and Tourism industry. This is a wide ranging course and covers a variety of travel units. It prepares students for any career path they choose within the industry. It focuses very much on the practical aspect of the industry with students giving presentations and role plays.

Tasks include: teambuilding activities, role plays demonstrating product knowledge, selling skills, welcome meetings and entertainment activities.

There will also be Theoretical and Event components to the course. Students will have the opportunity to develop and practise work-related skills within a chosen employment sector. A range of study methods is used including lectures, organising events and tutorials.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s at Grades C or above including English Language and/or Maths (some courses may require both, please check your individual course). Or successful completion of Level 2 related qualification.

Assessment

This will cover a variety of assessments from:

  • Written
  • Oral
  • Presentations
  • Roles Plays
  • On-line Exams

Future opportunities

This course is equal to three A levels allowing you to progress onto HNC Hospitality with Event Management.
