GCE AS Level Religious Studies at Queen Elizabeth School

Course description

Modules taken are: Philosophy and Religion - you will consider in detail the traditional arguments for the existence of God. You will also be introduced to the way that western Philosophy has been influenced by ancient Greek and biblical ideas. Religious Ethics - introduces you to some of the most influential ethical theories such as Utilitarianism and compares them with religious responses to morality. The course looks at Medical ethics and Genetic engineering in the light of modern developments and issues relating to war and peace.

Entry requirements

GCSE passes in five subjects with grades A - C plus an interview and a reference.
