Course description

This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. It will attract new talent into management and will help to up-skill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire. Intermediate apprentices will work in job roles such as team/section leaders, floor managers, helpdesk managers and trainee supervisors.The Intermediate Apprenticeship in Team Leading consists of:-* ILM Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (Combined Qualification)* Level 1 Functional Skills English* Level 1 Functional Skills Maths* Level 1 Functional Skills Information Communication Technology * Employment Rights and Responsibilities* Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Entry requirements

Candidates must be employed in a Team Leading Job role.Possess four GCSEs Grade D or above or have relevant vocational experience. Initial assessments will be used to determine Maths and English skills where appropriate to determine suitability.

Assessment

The qualification is assessed though continuous assessment on the OneFile electronic portfolio using a variety of work-based evidence, assignments and online examinations. Candidates will produce an electronic portfolio that will be internally and externally verified.

Future opportunities

Intermediate apprentices can progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Management or other Level 3 Advanced apprenticeships such as Business Administration. With additional training, apprentices may be able to progress in their careers to roles such as first line managers, section managers, assistant managers, trainee managers, senior supervisors and junior non-commissioned officers (armed forces)
