Mathematics and Further Mathematics AS/A2 at Roundwood Park School

Course description

Students can choose to study either Mathematics or both Mathematics and Further Mathematics in the Sixth Form at Roundwood Park School.  Students in Year 12 are examined on three modules; two Core Mathematics modules and one Statistics module.  Students also studying Further Mathematics will study additional modules in both Further Mathematics and Decision Mathematics. 

In Year 13, students study two additional Core Mathematics modules as well as their choice of either a Decision Mathematics or Mechanics module.  Further Mathematicians will study a Further Mathematics Module as well as additional modules in both Statistics and Mechanics.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above, with B grades in relevant subjects (including English Language at grade B) for any advanced level course, including traditional A levels, Applied A levels and Advanced Vocational Awards.
