Chemistry at Thomas Adams School
Chemistry is the study of the elements and their compounds. It is a science subject, so practical work is an important part of the course. You will develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of Chemistry and how they relate to each other. The aim is to develop interest in, and enthusiasm for Chemistry, including developing an interest in further study and careers in Chemistry.
5 GCSEs at C grade or above including Mathematics and CC in Science from a higher tier paper.
Students who have sat triple science would need to have achieved a C in Chemistry.
Be advised that subject leaders strongly recommend at least B grades in Core Science, Additional Science and Mathematics in order to be successful on this course.
