Professional Butchery Level 2 Diploma at Reaseheath College

Course description

Looking to get ahead of the game in the meat and poultry sector? Based in our professional Food Centre, this course will help build your technical butchery skills through practical sessions and work experience. You’ll also work towards food safety and health and safety certificates.

With opportunities in the abattoir, processing, manufacturing, catering and retail butchery, it’s a great time to start out in the industry.

You will gain:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Professional Butchery
  • Functional Skills or GCSE in English and Maths depending on previous qualifications
  • Level 2 CIEH Food Safety and Health and Safety Certificates

Entry requirements

  • 4 GCSEs at grade D or above, or
  • Foundation Level 1 in Food Preparation and Cooking

    • You will be studying in the beautiful, rural setting of Cheshire, one mile from the market town of Nantwich with good connections to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester. 

      The Reaseheath campus itself is small enough to retain its friendly, family atmosphere, but large enough for you to be able to mix with lots of groups of students. 

      Our front lawn is great to sit out on during the summer and the College lake has much wildlife to watch. 

      Over the past few years we have invested over £50 million in our campus to give you the best possible environment for learning.
