Course description

Students develop their knowledge and understanding of the development of ICT systems through practical experience in the use of a range of applications software in a structured way. Students apply the skills, knowledge and understanding gained to solve problems.

Students consider the important issues involved in the use of ICT by themselves and by others. Students study the immediate effect on themselves and also the longer term effects on society and the world in general.

Students address issues associated with the management of ICT and its use within organisations. A range of organisations are studied, including charities, clubs and societies, small, medium and large businesses, both national and multinational public and private organisations.Students complete a substantial project involving the production of an ICT-related system over an extended period of time. Students will enhance their transferable practical skills.
