Health and Social Care Level 1 at Malvern Hills College
The Health and Social Care tutors have a wealth of experience, from a variety of care settings, which our students benefit from. The courses on offer provide students with the opportunity to progress on to study at university in areas such as nursing and social work, or to move into employment in a range of care settings.
Work experience is an important part of the Level 2 and Level 3 full-time Health and Social Care courses, providing invaluable hands on, practical experience. Theory is also an important part of the courses, giving students the underpinning knowledge so that they are confident when working with client groups with different needs. Students studying on the Apprenticeship programme study at College one day each week and spend the remainder of the week in their place of work, where they are assessed regularly on their abilities and skills by a dedicated assessor. Studying Health and Social Care can lead to a rewarding career and provide the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.
