Brick Construction Diploma Level 2 at Stephenson College

Course description

The Bricklaying Diploma Level 2 is made up of seven units. The Diploma is designed to prepare students for work in their particular occupational area.

Course content

The Diploma Level 2 has seven units and a one-phase test. You will study brickwork tasks of a non-complex nature, individual work programmes with periodic reviews, tutorials, individually assessed tasks and Key Skills.
Mandatory units

Entry requirements

You are required to have successfully completed the Diploma in Bricklaying at level 1. You will need to attend an interview and undertake diagnostic testing to ensure your basic skills are at the appropriate level for this course.


Progressive assessments of all course elements are carried out on an individual basis. All assessments contribute towards course units which will build for certification. Assessment includes some external tests.

The course will provide you with the necessary skills, training and knowledge to progress to either become an Apprentice Bricklayer or gain employment in the construction industry.
