German A Level at Northolt High School

Course description

In A Level German, you will discuss new, engaging, themes based on a straightforward structure of four units over two years. Units include such topics as the influence of German media and advertising, popular culture, immigration and multiculturalism, environmental and economic issues and music. In addition, you will also study one German novel and one German feature length film in detail.

This course enables you to develop an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of the German language, the culture of Germany and other francophone countries, as well as practical and valuable language and transferable study skills in order to prepare you for higher education and enhance your employability profile.
