Course description

History will provide boys with a greater sense of identity as well as a fuller understanding of the World at large. It will provide them with a range of skills which may be developed and applied to a range of future courses and careers You will study Modern 20th Century History The course covers four areas: (1) International Relations (1919-91) (Evaluation of Peace Treaties, The League of Nations, The Causes of the Second World War, Evaluation of the Cold War, Communism, the USSR and control of Eastern Europe), The Vietnam War, The fall of Communism. (2) Germany 1919-45 (Weimar Germany & the Nazi regime) (3) British History (How has British Society changed 1906-1918, The Liberal reforms, Female suffrage, and War propaganda). (4) Coursework: USA 191 9-1941. Prohibition (the banning of alcohol) and Roosevelt?s New Deal.
