Photography at St Mary's College
Learners will develop:
Independence of mind in relation to developing their own ideas, refining their own intentions and personal outcomes.
Investigative, analytical, experimental, practical, technical and expressive skills, aesthetic understanding and critical judgement.
The experience of working with a broad range of media, including traditional and new media and technolo-gies
Knowledge, understanding and application of art, craft, design and media and technologies in
contemporary and past societies and cultures.
It is advantageous if learners who study A-level Photography have studies some aspect of Art, Design, Media or Photography but this is not essential. Students must be prepared to work hard and work independently. The course requires hard work and dedication throughout and students who display these attributes will be considered.
