Fine Art *FEES PAYABLE* at New Hall School

Course description

Are you creative? Do you like developing your own ideas and experimenting with materials? Then studying Fine Art at A Level could be for you. Enjoyment in Art is the most important ingredient for you to be a successful artist. You do need to be interested in Art, be willing to try out new ideas and be excited by the prospect of creating your own work. However, you must be able to express your ideas visually, that is, through drawing and/or approaches in newer technologies such as Photoshop.

The course builds on the skills, knowledge and understanding acquired by studying at GCSE level. The specification combines breadth and depth of study with sufficient freedom of choice to accommodate a wide range of abilities and interests. Enthusiasm and commitment are essential, plus a portfolio of work which demonstrates the above.

Entry requirements

At least a grade B in GCSE Art/Photography/3D Design, where applicable, and portfolio assessments.
