Spanish A-Level at Coopers School

Course description

The language is studied through a range of topics including Media, Popular Culture, Healthy Living/Lifestyle, Family and Relationships at AS Level, and the Environment, The Multicultural Society, Contemporary Social Issue and 2 cultural topics (history, literature, the French-speaking world) at A2 Level.

Course content

The course is divided into 4 units all of which draw upon language studied in the "General Topic Areas" described above.

All examinations will be taken at the end of the year.

Year 1
Unit 1 (Listening, Reading and Writing) and Unit 2 (Speaking)

Year 2
Unit 3 (Listening, Reading and Writing) and Unit 4 (Speaking)

Entry requirements

GCSE English Language C or better
GCSE Spanish A or better

    • Post 16 students have their own specialist facilities. The Mary Anderson Centre, a beautiful Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century, has a range of teaching classrooms with computers and laptops, private study rooms, an IAG centre and library. The additional double storey study centre with laptops and a common room ensures Post 16 students have the very best access to wireless computing, library resources, private study areas and a place to relax and socialise.
