Business OCR Level 3 Cambridge Technicals at Harris Academy Battersea
The Cambridge Technical qualification in Business Studies is an exciting introduction to the world of business which builds up to cover the more complex and interesting areas of business. The flexibility this course offers allows us to select the most engaging units that can be applied to the businesses we work with to bring the case studies to life.
Year 1 units include:
- The business environment
- Working in business
- Business decisions
- Customers and communication
- Market research
Year 2 units include:
- Accounting concepts
- Change management
- Principles of project management
- International Business
There will be many opportunities to engage with different businesses in London. This year we have worked with Google, Facebook, PwC and St. Mary’s University to have trips and guest speakers for students on the course.
Business Studies is a great course to complement most subjects depending on what area you would be interested in going into in the future. Many students study Business Studies alongside ICT.
Students must have a C grade in English and Maths GCSE and a keen interest in business studies.
- There are three external examinations and two coursework units for the certificate course.
- There are three external examinations and seven coursework units for the diploma course.
Appropriate for undergraduate study and further study in any businessrelated degrees including business or international business or you can choose to specialise in your preferred area and study marketing, HR or a Finance related degree.
