Apprenticeship: Motor Vehicle at Stephenson College

Course description

There are 3 core units: • Contribute to good housekeeping • Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety • Maintain positive working relationships There are 4 mandatory units: • Carry out routine vehicle maintenance • Remove and replace engine units and components • Remove and replace electrical auxiliary units and components • Remove and replace vehicle chassis units and components There is one optional unit chosen from the following: • Conduct pre and post work vehicle inspections • Valet vehicles • Remove and replace vehicle transmission and driveline units and components Assessment: Continuous assessment plus a portfolio of evidence to relate to practical experience gained on the job and online tests. Technical Certificate This qualification, which ensures the learners underpinning knowledge and understanding in the occupational area, is assessed through practical assessment in the college workshop and written tests.
