A Level Economics at St Peter's Catholic School

Course description

Economic analysis may be applied throughout society: business, politics, law and government. Do global economic issues interest you? Would you like to learn about how international markets work? How do firms decide on their marketing strategies? If so, this may be the subject for you. It will equip you with theory required to enable you to start recognising the effects of current economic issues in practice.

Entry requirements

Successful students are enthusiastic, committed and independent workers. It is important to have an interest in current world economic and social events. This course has a good mix of both Microeconomic and Macroeconomic units. You do not need to have studied GCSE Economics. You will be expected to have achieved a grade C in GCSE English and a grade C in Maths.
