Hairdressing Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
If you are always keeping an eye out for the latest fashion trends, have a creative flair and love to make people feel great about themselves, then a career in hairdressing is for you This Apprenticeship will enable you to work towards a Level 3 qualification whilst gaining real salon experience.This qualification is tailored to personal requirements and focuses on preparing you to meet the needs of industry.
Examples of units you may cover include:-Provide hairdressing consultation services-Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques-Promote additional services or products to customers-Monitor procedures to safely control work operations-Latest cutting and colouring trends including razor cuttingYou will also have the opportunity to be involved in the Hair Show and attend several external workshops to enable you to have current techniques demonstrated to you by a leading industry experts.
To progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship you will need to hold one of the following*:
- an Intermediate Level 2 Apprenticeship
- an alternative Level 2 qualification in a related subject area
- practical work experience in the related industry
- Up to five GCSEs grade A*-C – including English and Maths
In order to start an Apprenticeship, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

Assessment is both in college and in your workplace to suit both yours and your employer's needs. This will be carried out via observation and online assessment.
You could progress onto full-time employment, a Higher Apprenticeship, sector specialist courses or even open your own business.
One day per week in college, the remainder of your working week will be instructed by your Employer.
