Why choose to study Dance?

A-level Dance is a dynamic qualification which encourages students to develop their creative and intellectual capacity, alongside transferable skills such as team working, communication and problem solving. All of these are sought after skills by higher education and employers and will help them stand out in the workplace whatever their choice of career.

Entry requirements

A proven successful background in Dance (not necessarily GCSE), A genuine interest in Dance and theatre., The ability to work autonomously in and out of lessons. The ability to work with others. A willingness to spend extra time researching, rehearsing and going to see a range of different dance theatre, outside of lessons

Future opportunities

Higher education opportunities: Dance offers a range of skills that will prove to be valuable in all higher education courses. Natural course progression includes Dance, Drama and Performing Arts, English Literature, and Media.
