Course description

This course is suitable for students who would like to develop some welding and fabrication skills and qualification before applying for a job in the industry.

Course content

This programme is made up of a total of six unitsCore units (all three units required)Unit 1 working safely in an engineering environmentUnit 2 working efficiently and effectively in engineeringUnit 3 Using and communicating technical informationAddition units (all three units required)Unit 22 Producing sheet metal components and assembliesUnit 27 preparing and using manual metal arc welding equipmentUnit 29 preparing and using manual MIG, MAG and other continous wire welding equipment

Entry requirements

Entry is open to all and although formal qualification are not necessary, we expect you to show a commitment to this intensive training programme. 

Assessment
