Horticulture and Landscape Gardening Level 1 Diploma at Middlesbrough College

Course description

This is a QCF Level 1 qualification which will enable learners to learn skills that are relevant to employment and personal development. The qualification is particularly suitable for learners who aspire to work in an outdoors environment, developing and creating landscapes using joinery and brickwork skills learned.

Entry requirements

4 GCSE’s with a minimum grade of E including Maths, English Language and Science and satisfactory references. Minimum of E3 initial assessment for Maths and English. "If you do not have a Grade A to C in English and/or Maths, you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your Study Programme."

Future opportunities

Upon successful completion of your L1 Diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Gardening course, you can progress to further study on the Level 2 BTEC in Horticulture course or Level 2 qualification in Joinery or Brickwork or Building Maintenance Level 2. The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for University we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.
