Chemistry A-Level at John Port School

Course description

The course is made up of an assessment of both your theory and practical skills. These practicals will not go towards your final grade, but you will gain an endorsement on your final certificate demonstrating that you are competent in core practical skills. There are 16 Core Practicals that will cover all of the techniques required for your practical competency measure.

Entry requirements

The general entry requirement for the Sixth Form applies. This should include a minimum GCSE grade B in Science and Maths. All examinations will include 20% assessment of Mathematical skills at a level of GCSE Higher Tier or above.


This Course is 100% externally assessedthere is no coursework.
