Automotive Engineering at Prince William School

Course content

City + Guilds Progression Award Level 1 This programme covers the key elements of motor vehicle servicing and repair. It includes removal and fitting of wheels and tyres, engine lubrication and cooling system, servicing, body repair, and health + safety practices. To achieve this award, the student must complete six assessments. Each assessment includes a multi choice paper and an assignment. It will prepare students for entry into employment at a basic level or for further study and training. This course will be delivered at the purpose built Motor Vehicle training unit – Unique 17 – at Barnwell.  The above course is offered at an off site facility. If you choose to study this course, transport will be provided from school to the venue. Please be aware that you may have to purchase certain items of clothing to comply with health and safety regulations, e.g. steel toe capped boots.
