Beauty VRQ Advanced Technical Diploma Nail Technology Level 3 at Wigan & Leigh College

Course description

If you want to take your nail services career to the next level then this course is for you. Our Level 3 Nail Technology programme enables learners to further develop the knowledge and skills, professional expertise and supervisory skills from those gained at Level 2. This course provides nail technicians with the competitive edge in terms of quality, employability and professional standards.

Course content

This is an intensive course of study, the course content includes: Promote products and services, reception duties, apply and maintain nail enhancements, airbrush design, advanced nail art and enhance nails with electric file. You will also promote and sell products and services to clients, study business practice, anatomy and physiology for hands and feet, enhance and maintain nails using light cured gel including hard gels, liquid and powder nail enhancements, create and apply nail art and learn the latest gel polish nail services. As part of your programme of study you will participate in work experience to develop tour employability skills.

Entry requirements


Successful completion of Level 2 in the subject plus maths or English at grade C/ 4


Candidates are assessed by continuous observation of skills and assessment of performance and written tests.
