The Cambridge Technical Diploma in Media offers a wide range of units to reflect the range of opportunities available within the Media sector. Typically, the Creative Industries department runs a number of trips and visits to support your studies e.g. a visit to Warner Bros studios, residential or day trips to European cities and excursions to media companies such as TV studios and other tourist attractions.

4 GCSE’s at grade D including English Language
There are no exams just ongoing assessment that will take place through submission of portfolio work for units. Your evidence for assessment may be submitted in a variety of mediums including written work, imagery, audio and video recordings
Successful completion of the course with a Merit or above at Level 2 allows you to progress on to BTEC Level 3 90 credit Diploma in Creative Media Production (you will also need a C or above in GCSE English Language) or employmen
This is a brand new course that we will be running from 2015 and will incorporate an eLearning element as well as work experience and Bromley Advantage. You will also have the opportunity to study English and mathematics alongside this course and will be supported throughout by your own progress coach.
If you prefer to learn in a way that’s practical and work-related, then Cambridge Technicals are ideal. The great thing about them is that they keep your options open – so if you’re not fully convinced that a vocational way of learning is right for you, Cambridge Technicals keep the door open for a move to higher education further down the line.
Induction and Probation - For the first half term you will be set a variety of projects and participate in a range of skills-building exercises and tests. During this time your continuing place on the course will be subject to your attendance, punctuality, motivation, ability to meet deadlines and overall work ethic, in addition to the development of your practical skills. We want to make sure that you are on the right course for you so your individual performance will be regularly assessed and your course place may be reviewed.
