Assessment

Training and Assessment is tailored to both the learner and employer needs. We will utilise a number of methods according to the preferred learning style indicated through the initial assessment. These can be 1 to 1 up skilling either by trainer or employer, the use of workbooks, audio and online support tools. The Kitchen Services Apprenticeship is delivered within the workplace over a minimum of 12 months.

On the next pages are the units that can be chosen to create the NVQ (competence) element of the Apprenticeship. We will discuss these with both the employer and learner to ensure that the qualification reflects the requirements of the role and the needs of the learner. Once chosen we will then look at the units for the knowledge element often reflecting the competence choices.
