Business Level 2 at Lakes College West Cumbria

Course description

The Level 2 Business Course is an introductory course suitable for individuals who are interested in a pursuing a career in business. As part of this 1 year course students will consolidate their skills and knowledge to gain a qualification that will help them gain employment or continue in further education. It will provide you with a good knowledge of a range of business functions and explore evaluating, managing and improving your own performance as well as communicating. This is an ideal course for those who are undecided about which pathway to take into business as it explores a range of different areas that students can progress on to.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs A*-D or Functional Skills English and Maths Level 1, or a Level 1 Qualification in a relevant subject

Financial information

Free to all 16-18 and 19-23 year olds who do not already have a full level 2 qualification e.g 5 GCSE's grade A*-C. Also free to learners who are in receipt of JSA (Job Seekers Allowance) ESA ((Employment Support Allowance, (work related activity)) or Universal Credit (mandated). Where fees are payable you can set up a payment plan that best suits your needs

Future opportunities

Upon successful completion students can progress to a full time Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business, followed by an HNC/HND in Business Management.
