Business Level 3 at Don Valley School and Performing Arts College

Course description

This course offers you the opportunity to learn about businesses and how they operate. You will learn business theory and then apply it to real businesses by investigating what they do and why. Visits to existing businesses and outside speakers will be used to enhance learning and you will be expected to conduct independent research by contacting businesses directly. You will produce a variety of assignments which may take the form of presentations, displays, reports or power points.

Students complete six units in total: the four core units give learners an introduction to, and understanding of, the business environment, management of resources, marketing and communication – all fundamental to the success of business organisations. Two optional units will be selected based on student interest.
