Further information

Students of Business need have no previous knowledge of the subject, but should be comfortable with handling figures and be able to write fluently.

Teaching involves the study of much original material relating to enterprises in the real world and is supplemented, where possible, with visits from outside speakers from the world of business and trips to see businesses both at home and abroad.

We offer an 8-9 day visit to China, giving students first-hand experience of the globalization of brands and the growth of private commercial enterprise, operating in a very different cultural environment. We also offer an exchange visit with the Business department of Colegio YapeyÚ, Corrientes, Argentina. This fantastic exchange gives students a unique opportunity to experience business, social and cultural environments in a diverse South American country.

Business combines well with most other A Level subjects and opens up opportunities for studying a wide range of courses in Higher Education. Many students follow International Business Courses as well as degrees in Politics, Accountancy, Law, Geography and History. Areas of specialisation could include degrees in Marketing, Production Systems, Human Resource Management, Distribution, Buying, Management, Public Relations and Logistics, Events Management, Football and Sports industries. Some of our students have taken an alternative route by securing places with KPMG, PwC and Deloitte.
