Course description

Why A Level Drama?

Course content

A2 Level

Unit 3 - Group Devised Project
An original performance piece devised by the group with accompanying exploration notes.

Unit 4 - Exploration of Dramatic performance - Written Paper

Students explore 2 contrasting plays from different periods and analyse their social and cultural production values

Entry requirements

A GCSE Grade C or above in Drama and English Literature or Language is useful, though a proven extra curricular performance ability will be considered

Further information

Trips
The department runs a Performing Arts tour to Europe every year. The tour allows students to work on skills whilst also experiencing a vibrant new city and culture. Students will be given opportunities to visit professional companies and speak to technicians and practitioners in this field. They will also take part in regular visits to theatres around the region
