Course description

This course is for students considering a career in any of the uniformed services, such as: Armed Forces, Police, Fire, Prison Service

Course content

This course consists of 3 unitsUniformed Public Services EmploymentPublic Service SkillsUniformed Public Service FitnessEach unit has specified criteria to be achieved in order to be graded.  Learners will be graded pass, merit or distinction. To be recommended for the award you must achieve a pass grade in all units.

Entry requirements

No experience of the Public Service sector is required before starting the course.  Learners will need to demonstrate both academic ability to work at the required level and an interest and commitment in Public Service studies.

Future opportunities

Successful students can progress onto the BTEC National Award or recruitment in to the Military Services
