Light Motor Vehicle City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma at Berkshire College of Agriculture

Course description

The Level 3 Diploma develops the skills needed to open up a whole new world
of opportunities within the motor vehicle maintenance and repair sector.

Your career options range from garage and shop floor positions to technical development. Vehicle ownership is rising and the industry is in constant need of bright young people committed to building their careers around cars.

This course also includes two weeks’ work experience.

Entry requirements

To join this programme you will need a standard of literacy and numeracy, supported by four GCSEs at grades A-C AND to have completed the Level 2 City and Guilds qualification.

Future opportunities

This qualification prepares you for employment in the Motor Vehicle industry. The skills acquired during your studies should enable you to progress to a technical or professional position, or an Apprenticeship.

Further information

All full-time students, aged between 16-18, will study GCSE or Functional Skills in Maths and English, if they don’t already hold an A*- C level GCSE in the subject. This is an integral part of their vocational study programme at BCA. Students over 19 are also encouraged to refresh and accredit their skills alongside vocational study.
