Business Studies A Level at Abbeyfield School
A Level Business is open to both GCSE Business students and non GCSE students. The first part of AS is designed to solidify GCSE knowledge, whilst allowing those who haven't done GCSE to get up to speed— looking at all of the processes and areas to consider when starting up a new business. The second half of AS then focuses on how to manage and run a business, considering all four key functional areas; marketing, finance, operations management and people.
If you continue into A2 you then take a step up and begin to look closely at the different parts of the external environment and how businesses are affected as well as taking the four functional areas to a higher level and looking at financial concepts such as gearing.
C in English and Maths. If GCSE Business taken – Grade C at GCSE.
Desirable: If GCSE Business taken – Grade B at GCSE.
