Art & Design Level 3 UAL Diploma (University of the Arts London) at Westminster Kingsway College

Course description

This course is designed to provide the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to progress to Degree level study in art and design, or into employment in the creative industries. This course provides an opportunity for those who have an interest in the visual arts to explore, develop and test their creativity within a qualification structure which is stimulating and demanding and provides a supportive transition to university or commercial practice.
You will have the opportunity to develop skills in a range of disciplines such as model-making, illustration, creative advertising and graphic design. Drawing and creativity are central to your study in the visual arts, which will be underpinned by an understanding of cultural and historical influences. You will also be introduced to relevant software to support you in your future career.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade C or above and GCSE Art at grade C or above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at grade Merit or above with Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 and a good reference. There is also a requirement for an additional portfolio of work.
In Year 2 you will have to option to increase your BTEC Level 3 Certificate to a Subsidiary Diploma.
