Hairdressing Intermediate Apprenticeship at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College
If you are always keeping an eye out for the latest fashion trends, have a creative flair and love to make people feel great about themselves, then a career in hairdressing is for youThis Apprenticeship will enable you to work towards a Level 2 qualification whilst gaining real salon experience.
The majority of work during this course is of a practical nature and will allow you to progress your skills within your work place under the suppervision of your Employer and your allocated Assessor when necessary.Examples of units you may cover include:Health and Safety-Shampoo and Condition-Styling-Colouring-Cutting-Perming -Reception Duties-Client Care and Communication-Employer Rights and Responsibilities-Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English
To progress onto a Level 2 Apprenticeship you will need up to five GCSEs grade D-G, including a grade D in English and Maths*.
In order to start an Apprenticeship, you will need to be employed or find an employer who is recruiting an Apprentice.

Assessment is ongoing through practical demonstration and online testing.You will be targeted on an individual basis and this will reflect in your own pace of learning to ensure that you achieve the highest level of competency.
You could progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing or Barbering.
One day per week in college and the rest of your working week will be instructed by your employer.
