Chemistry: Salters at King James's School

Course description

This course is probably the most modern approach yet to the teaching and learning of Chemistry for the 21st century. Unlike traditional syllabuses, this conveys the key principles and information through the study of up-to-date topics related to everyday life.

Chemistry is central to modern living: medicines, plastics, agrochemicals, materials, dyes, nano-technology, understanding ozone depletion and global warming are all aspects of life that depend on the skill and knowledge of chemists.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)

A grade B or above in Additional Science or in the Chemistry component of the triple science higher paper at GCSE and grade B or above in GCSE Mathematics would be an advantage.
