Course content

A2 Level: Unit 1: Philosophy of Religion How can we say that God exists? What happens when we die? How can we talk about God? Assessment: 1 1/2 hour exam answering 2 out of 5 set questions. Contributing 15% to the full advanced level. Unit 2: Ethics Continuing to explore how people make moral decisions. What is good? How do we know what we ‘ought’ to do? Exploring justice, law and punishment. Assessment: 1 1/2 hour exam answering 2 out of 5 set questions. Contributing to 15% to the full advanced level. Unit 3: Issues in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics Drawing together knowledge and understanding of the connections between the different units studied. Assessment: 1 1/2 hour exam, 40% of A2 learning time. Contributing 205 to the full advanced level.
