Cambridge Technicals in ICT (Level 3) at London Academy

Course description

The Cambridge Technicals provide opportunities to develop skills demanded by employers. The Cambridge Technical qualifications offer learners the opportunity for a programme of study to:

  • Prepare for further learning or training
  • Develop essential knowledge, transferable skills and personal skills in a subject area that interests them with the aim of enhancing their employability
  • Move into different areas of employment
  • Achieve a nationally recognised vocational qualification.

Learners will also have the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and tools for the world of work by developing transferable skills such as planning, research and analysis, working with others and effective communication.

Entry requirements

As for any advanced level work students are expected to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C and above. Students do not have to have studied ICT before (although this is obviously an advantage) but must come with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard.
