BTEC Nnational extended diploma in Sport at King Alfred's Academy

Course description

This is a 2 year, full time qualification, suitable for 16 – 19 year olds who have already decided that they wish to enter this area of work e.g. coaching, training, teaching, professional sports performer.

What will I study?

The course is made up of 19 units and is equivalent to 3 A Levels.For some students a one year 7-unit subsidiary diploma worth one A level may be a more appropriate start to this level of study.

  • Entry requirements

    Typically students need at the very least 5 or more GCSE’s at grade C or above to be successful on an Advanced Course. There are more than 30 subjects to choose from though some may require more than a C grade.
