Music Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2 at City College Plymouth

Course description

This Apprenticeship is for those who want to work in the music industry within the promotions, management and agency related jobs, for example those who work with a range of specialists to plan, book and promote artists or bands. As an Intermediate Level apprentice you will support the promotional activities and marketing campaigns in the music industry, utilising social media and social networks. You will also provide administrative support to their teams.

Course content

The course content will include:

  • Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT
  • ERR - Employee Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Personal Learning and thinking skills (PLTS) - Independent enquiry, creative thinking, reflective thinking, team working, self-management and effective participation.


Entry requirements

Entry is via an initial assessment at the Work-based Learning Department. 


Assessment is continuous, both on and off the job.

Future opportunities

On completion you may wish to progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship or an advanced music course at the College, or move into employment where you may benefit from enhanced career opportunities within a range of organisations.
